Position: Digital Artist/Multi-media Designer
Reports to: Art & Design Manager
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

General Purpose of the Job:
Under general supervision, creates digital files for use in electronic media in both web and software environments, serving a variety of the Foundation’s publication and communication needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize designs and produce polished, age-appropriate computer graphics
- Ensure graphics meet standards for style, culture and voice of the Foundation
- Be fluent in the language, problem-solving skills, and concepts of multiple media and HTML
- Produce files for 2-D motion graphics and other web-based technologies
- Produce files in formats appropriate to the end use
- Provide guidance to team members regarding best practices in creating graphics in software including Flash, DreamWeaver, and After Effects
- Consult with Art and Design Manager and Project Coordinators to identify graphic and illustration needs, determine deadlines, and ensure steady flow of work
- Work with designers and illustrators to create motion graphics using their concept and artwork
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and Foundation goals
- Adhere to all policies and protocols as outlined in Employee Policies and Procedures Manual and other departmental and Foundation-wide communications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications, Graphic Design or similar accredited program
Technology:
- InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, DreamWeaver, After Effects, Flash, Microsoft Office Suite
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to create and produce graphics using a range of styles, methods, techniques, and equipment
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and practices
- Knowledge of web design and site construction procedures including HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of electronic media procedures and specifications
- Provide assistance in testing relevant software and system upgrades
- Knowledge of file management practices
- Ability to search for appropriate images and determine rights of use

| Description |
Whiteboard Project Developer
The Success for All Foundation is seeking to add one Math Whiteboard Curriculum Developer to our team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology to benefit at-risk students throughout the U.S. This position is ideal for a recent college grad or former teacher with high capacity to understand technology.
The task includes:
- Using a computer to program lessons into ActivInspire to be used with interactive whiteboards
- Communicating with curriculum developers to ensure whiteboard and print materials align and provide for best instruction
- Implementing revisions and corrections as needed
Qualifications include:
- Bachelors degree- education or related degree/experience
- Familiarity with classroom instruction/teaching experience preferred
- Math developer should have high level of math proficiency
- Excellent writing/editing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer technology skills
- Whiteboard/ ActivInspire familiarity is a plus
- Demonstrated work stability
SFAF is an equal opportunity employer (EOE). This temporary 37.5 hour/week position is project-based and is expected to conclude in approximately 14 months (January 2011). Hours are M-F 8:30-5:00.

General Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Area Manager, the Trainer works to increase student achievement and improve the implementation of SFAF programs by providing training and consultation to schools in one major component.
Principal Accountabilities
Provides training at a routine level in one component of SFA as measured by
- Knowledge Assessments
- Expert Review by structured conversation or observation
- School Ratings
Provides high-level implementation support for one major SFA components, resulting in increased levels of student achievement, as measured by:
- state assessments
- district assessments; and/or
- program assessments.
Develops and maintains ongoing positive, professional relationship with school staff, actively promoting and sustaining the SFAF programs as measured by
